Meet the Owner
Lindsey Franz
Hi there, and welcome to LAF Design and Art Studio! I’m a 22-year-old artist, graphic designer, and event coordinator with a passion for bringing more art into our community. I’m a proud graduate of Danville Area Community College with an Associate’s in Fine Arts, and I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from the Wonsook Kim School of Art at Illinois State University in December 2024.

I’ve been a freelance artist and entrepreneur for 6 years, offering services such as window painting, murals, face painting, canvas commissions, restoration work, banners, and more. With my graphic design degree, I also specialize in logo design, branding, and marketing with a focus on small businesses.

While I love creating art for clients, I’m just as passionate about sharing and teaching it. The extension of my services has become LAF Design and Art Studio, which will be a place to learn art, create art, and be inspired by art, no matter your age or skill level.

Thanks for being here!
Lindsey Franz

LAF Design and Art Studio is located at 145 N. Vermilion Street in Downtown Danville, IL. While the building has housed several businesses over the years, it was most recently home to the beloved Lima Bean Glassworks and Gifts. I’m proud to continue the tradition of creativity by keeping this space rooted in art!

This location will serve as my office and studio for freelance work, while also offering new services like art parties, classes, and studio rentals for small events. The space has truly become an extension of my passion for sharing art with the community by making creativity accessible to everyone, not something kept behind closed doors.

As a full time worker and part time art hustler, my goal is to host parties and classes a few times each month, welcoming both new and familiar faces of all ages and artistic backgrounds into Danville’s art scene.

I can’t wait to welcome you into the studio someday!
